Engineering & Aerospace
Macclesfield College’s Engineering department is based out of a number of specialist facilities, providing the very best educational experience for students. Aerospace Engineering and Mechanical Engineering are based in the College’s ECAT building on campus.
Macclesfield College’s European Centre for Aerospace Training (ECAT) features a purpose built hangar to house a fully functional BAE Jetstream 31 aircraft. ECAT also has a strong international reputation and attracts many students from overseas.
Engineering students at Macclesfield College benefit from ECAT’s full fitted mechanical science lab and workshop, modern electronic labs and a state-of-the-art ICT suite and lecture rooms.
Our highly qualified lecturers have extensive industrial knowledge and experience. Excellent links with local and national companies allows us to provide industry standard vocational training that employers and individuals need to succeed in the modern engineering industry.
Entry requirements will be discussed in detail at admissions interviews for all courses. Please note, the availability of all courses is dependent on the sufficient number of students. You are advised to also consider second choice subjects.
