Maccs go online with their latest course offering

Macclesfield College – specialist college for further education – has recently expanded their course offering by introducing the option to study online.

The two Access to HE Diploma courses in Education and Business & Management are aimed at people who want to expand their career prospects.

The nationally recognised qualification is designed to provide students with the skills needed to apply for higher level courses such as degrees, professional qualifications or apprenticeships. These courses open many doors to future career prospects, including but not limited to local government, social work, business, and primary and early year’s education.

All of the course materials have been designed with a great deal of flexibility and learners will be responsible for setting their own study schedule to fit around their lifestyle and responsibilities.

With structured support and guidance from online learning experts, the course allows students access to comprehensive learning materials with an online support network. Assessments will be made up of a number of units, each requiring learners to complete an assignment with personal tutors responsible for grading the work.

Karen Bruce, Adult Education Manager at Macclesfield College comments: “This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who has been out of education for a period of time and looking for a career change. The flexibility of this course means that learners can watch and listen to their lectures when and where they’re available, with no pressure to attend classes or online seminar at any specific time. This is a major step forward for the college and we look forward to welcoming a new host of students to our college.”

Advanced Learning Loans are available for students over the age of 19 to cover the course fees should they need it, with no credit checks and no dependence on household income.
