What is an apprenticeships?

As an apprentice you will be employed by a company where you will gain hands-on experience and expertise. You will also study for a qualification at the same time where you may have to come into college once a week.

How much will I earn?

Like any type of job role, the amount of money you earn will depend on your employer. The minimum an employer must pay their apprentice is £3.70 per hour, however some employers are willing to pay considerably more for the right person.

How many hours a week will I work?

To be recognised as an apprentice you must be employed for a minimum of 30 hours per-week.

 

How long does it take to complete my apprenticeship?

The length of an apprenticeship depends on the job you’re doing, your age and how much experience you have.
