Apprentice Business Administrator / Receptionist

Vacancy description

You will be primarily reporting into and working alongside the recruitment team and supporting other departments and the wider business as required. Your main duties will be to assist with daily administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of the recruitment team and the business.

Your main duties and responsibilities will consist of;

  • Receive and redirect all incoming phone calls / visitors to reception
  • Manage and distribute incoming post and parcels
  • Take responsibility for the franking of outgoing post and arrangement of couriers
  • Order uniform and create ID badges for all new starters
  • Process the weekly stationery orders and manage any ad-hoc requests for stationery or other office supplies
  • Administer the candidate application process, including distribution of links and online recruitment documents to potential candidates, chasing and managing the return of documents, uploading and filing appropriately
  • Set up new starters on our internal systems
  • Maintain spreadsheet logs
  • Send out documentation to candidates attending inductions
  • Print and collate material for driver information packs and ensure enough stock of packs is maintained
  • Scan existing paperwork into online systems
  • Initiate the restarter process for returning applicants
  • Support with any other admin tasks as required

You will also be supporting all other areas of the business with administration support which may include printing, making calls to field staff or other businesses, and performing validation checks on work carried out by colleagues.
