Apprentice Engineering Maintenance Planner

Key accountabilities & deliverables:

  • The aim is to manufacture the company’s product to an agreed specification in a cost effective and safe manner
  • The company produces a variety of products to meet customer needs. The daily focus for everyone needs to be on achieving the daily requirements right first time, in a safe factory environment at an improved ongoing cost

Key deliverables of the maintenance planner:

  • Strive to improve the machine reliability of the site’s machinery
  • Maintain a balance of PPMs and planned repairs identified from CBM inspections
  • Delegate PPM’s/RM’s in a clear and timely manner, receiving feedback from engineers and updating systems or creating follow-up work accordingly
  • Advanced planning of schedules- seven days forward
  • Maintain Asset history
  • Schedule and plan long term horizon activities to feed into the budget process (1-5 yr. horizon)
  • Help to generate and maintain compliance to DSOP’s / Risk Assessments / CRAMS
  • Consider and apply sustainability, waste minimisation and Energy consumption where appropriate
  • Work with the Engineering Manager to assess workload KPI’s and how to improve on them
  • Liaise with Production Planner to coordinate planned works
  • Identify and create Autonomous Maintenance schedules. Moving basic tasks from Engineering to Production department
  • Location: High Peak
  • Hours: Monday - Friday, 07:30 - 16:00.
  • Salary: £15,000.00 - £20,000.00 annual wage
