Apprentice Marketing Assistant

Vacancy description

Events:

  • Cross college calendar of events (both internal and external)
  • Assist with the organisation, execution of all internal student Marketing/Learner Experience events. These will include, but are not limited to liaising with the relevant teams to prepare for interview evenings and parents evening ensuring timely communications
  • Assist with all Marketing recruitment events to include, but not limited to, open events, school taster days and college visits (working with external agencies as required). Will also act as the point of contact for student ambassadors
  • Assist with the Co-ordination the College’s Apprenticeship week activities working closely with Maxim Business Training

Internal communications:

  • To support with all official internal communications at the College to staff, developing and maintaining the annual communications plan. This is to include, but not limited to charity fundraising, launch of new courses, and relevant staff events
  • To support new starter communications to include all staff introduction and development of staff bios which will then be used across college communication channels (e.g. website, news items)
  • Work closely with Student Central to develop and maintain internal student communications, developing annual plan. This includes promotion of key dates (e.g. black history month, volunteering fairs, UCAS information, Top Teacher Awards, Assessor of the Year awards, GCSE revision and exam etc.)
  • To support with cross-college internal displays (offline and digital), maintaining effective communications in-line with key promotional campaigns
  • Working closely with curriculum departments gather and produce College case studies of current and former students, creating a back of content which can be used across all college marketing activity

Digital Marketing:

  • Assist with the development all website updates including events, news items, changes to college support information and courses
  • To support the College’s email marketing campaigns to include development of the cross-college email marketing campaign calendar, reporting on campaigns and utilising the results to improve performance

Marketing collateral:

  • To assist with the development and maintenance of all applicant collateral across all college markets including full time, higher education, and professional studies. Collateral to include, but not limited to applicant pack certificate, benefits of studying at Macclesfield College, and college term dates
  • Support the development, maintenance and distribution of college collateral including prospectus, transport information, adult courses, and Higher Education prospectus

Administrative support:

  • Acting as the central point of contact for all Marketing related finance queries. This includes gathering quotations, raising orders and reconciling invoices
  • Maintenance of the colleges’ press and advertising files
  • Distribution of marketing collateral including schools’ letters, prospectus, and any other correspondents as required

Training and Development:

  • To undertake any relevant training as and when required.

  • Salary: £12,500.00 annual wage
