Business Administration Apprentice

Supporting the distillery office and bar with all aspects of business administration, whilst providing high levels of customer service and serving drinks to guests.

Working within a small team at a remote countryside distillery, you will learn varied skills required in the running of a family business. You will need to be confident working alone in an office, but also have the ability to deal with groups of the public during busy distillery tours and events. This is a very varied role, with lots of challenges, but with huge potential to grow for the right person.

A typical working day between Tuesday and Friday would mean:

  • Answering emails from customers and suppliers
  • Dealing with all telephone calls
  • Managing stock systems and ordering stock from suppliers
  • General office assistance in filing, cleaning, tidying etc
  • Working on spreadsheets and various software packages
  • Liaising with couriers
  • Setting up a bar and public areas for service
  • Serving walk-in customers with a smile and a cold drink in our distillery bar and shop

On a Saturday, the office closes and we host ticketed, fun, distillery tours! During these, you will be the assistant to the host where you will:

  • Help to set up the bar and all areas to receive guests
  • Work on the bar, pouring drinks and helping customers
  • Assisting with sections of the tour as needed

  • Salary: £200.75 weekly wage
