HR Support Apprentice

Duties and responsibilities:

Management Information and Data Analyst:

  • Producing regular data in line with HR KPIs

System and Data Integrity:

  • Understand and develop HR system
  • Updating and maintaining employee records
  • Data management (electronic and paper) in line with GDPR
  • Manage archived data in line with GDPR


  • General administration functions such as producing letters, preparing for new starters, leavers, transfers, terminations, maternity and paternity leave (and other forms of special leave), probation procedure, pensions, private medical insurance, long service awards, other terms and conditions of employment and other activities throughout the HR calendar
  • Assisting with Recruitment with administration and organisation activities
  • Preparing and organising inductions for new starters
  • Assisting with Payroll data, ensuring accurate information is recorded

Project Work:

  • Be involved with key projects such as contract and policy review, Great Place to Work initiatives and rollout of key activities throughout the HR calendar in line with learning objectives

Learning Objectives:

  • Learning objectives to be written to encompass all areas of the employee lifecycle
  • Review and reflect on external learning to ensure that work activities are aligned to and support the development
  • Attend HR related workshops to understand concepts and practices to enable basic advice to staff and line managers as required

  • Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00 with a 1 hour lunch break each day
  • Salary: £13,000.00 annual wage
