This course has been designed to help you explore black and white film based photogrpahy and how to process your images using a darkroom. The majority of class time is devoted to working in the darkroom and building printing techniques where you will learn new processes and create a range of images by experimenting and making mistakes.
We will discuss the works of other photographers, both traditional and contemporary, to further your understanding of contextual references and to inspire your own artworks.
No previous experience required.

You may wish to study on the Level 2 Photography Certificate course, or explore other A&D leisure courses such as ceramics, painting and drawing or garment making.
We will have cameras to use in class, however if you have your own film camera please bring that. All equipment and products required to particapiate in the course will be provided by the college and remain the property of the college.
