This course has been designed to help you edit your photographs digitally. You will learn how to use some Adobe software such as Photoshop and Lightroom to improve the look of your photographs and create some experimental and creative outcomes. The majority of class time is devoted to editing your images on computers, but you may also explore manual editing. You will learn new processes and create a range of images by experimenting and making mistakes.
We will discuss the works of other photographers, both traditional and contemporary, to further your understanding of contextual references and to inspire your own artworks.
No previous experience required but some prior use of computer knowledge would be beneficial.

You may wish to study on the Level 2 Photography Certificate course, or explore other A&D leisure courses such as editing photography, darkroom photography, ceramics, painting and drawing, life drawing or garment making.
We will have cameras to use in class, however if you have your own film camera please bring that. All equipment and products required to particapiate in the course will be provided by the college and remain the property of the college.
