Come and join us for the ultimate workshop all surrounding Fish and Shellfish Cuisine at Macclesfield College, experiencing an evening learning with Dan from Fish Timperley.
No previous experience is necessary.
You’ll learn how to spot the key signs of quality in fresh fish, then move on to hands-on filleting, cooking techniques and guided tasting to understand flavour and texture.
Shellfish gets the same deep dive. You will learn how to identify freshness and quality, the safe and correct way to open oysters and how to judge them by taste. You’ll also perfect show-stopping dishes and prep skills, including:
• cooking scallops beautifully with the right colour, texture, and timing
• cleaning and preparing tiger prawns properly
• essential do’s and don’ts for handling and cooking mussels safely
Friendly, informative and packed with chef-level tips, this session is ideal for anyone who wants to take the mystery out of seafood and start cooking it with real skill and confidence.
