The aim of this qualification is to enhance the skills developed in the intermediate level. You’ll look at financial team leader skills, including financial statements for limited companies, complex management skills, credit control and personal taxation.
You will need to have achieved the AAT Level 3 or a relevant Degree qualification.
On receipt of your application to study this course you will be invited to attend an admissions interview with a member of the teaching team to discuss the course and its requirements in more depth to ensure the course is right for you.
During this course you will study four core units:
• Management Accounting: Budgeting
• Management Accounting: Decision and Control
• Financial Statements of Limited Companies
• Accounting Systems and Controls
In addition to the core units, you must study two optional units, units to be confirm but include:
• Business Tax
• Personal Tax
• Credit Management
Three core units are assessed by means of online end of unit assessment. Accounting Systems and Controls is assessed as part of a Synoptic assessment. The two optional units are assessed by an end of unit online assessment.

On successful completion of this course you will have achieved 160 UCAS points should you wish to apply to study a Degree.

Due to the AAT being a professional awarding body, you will need to become a student member of the AAT and pay a membership fee of £147 (if this is your first year of study) or £99 to renew your membership directly to the AAT within 4 weeks of joining the course.
You will also need to purchase text books that are approximately £100. You will be provided with a book list during the first week of the course and be expected to buy these immediately.
