Do you directly support teaching and learning of pupils in schools in an area that
requires specialist knowledge and skills?
This qualification will allow successful candidates to work in roles that offer specialist support for pupils within a nursery,
infant or junior school, secondary or special schools.
All learners must have a work placement arranged to be able to gather the evidence for the course. You are required to
undertake a minimum of 50 hours work experience within a school. The placement will need to be in an infant, primary, junior or secondary school, supporting learners between the ages of 4/5 and 16.
This qualification is ideal for anyone who is looking to work in a nursery, infant school, special school, secondary school
or independent school as a teaching assistant, or anyone who is already a teaching assistant and looking to work without
supervision or progress to a senior teaching assistant.
