Overview
The Level 3 Award in Education and Training is an introduction to teaching that will give an insight into the roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training, how to plan and deliver inclusive teaching sessions and how to assess and give constructive feedback.
Entry Requirements
Applicants must also be qualified to at least Level 3 in the subject they intend to teach. In addition, you must have achieved GCSE in English (or equivalent qualification) and it is recommended that you have at least achieved a Level 2 in Maths in order to progress in a teaching career. This requirement is negotiable and is at the discretion of the tutors.
Content
Candidates who successfully complete this qualification will gain an insight into the roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training, how to plan and deliver inclusive teaching sessions and how to assess and give constructive feedback.
Assessment
There is no examination. Candidates will be assessed on both theoretical and practical assignments.
Candidates will be observed in practice by conducting one ‘micro teach’ (short teaching session) as part of their course.

On successful completion of this course you may wish to progress on to the City & Guilds Certificate or Diploma in Education & Training.
