Overview

The Award in Skills for Employment, Training and Personal Development (Entry 3) is designed to provide an introduction to working in various sectors as well as more generic employability skills designed to build confidence for the workplace. The qualifications also addresses learners’ needs in Personal Development, Vocational Support and Literacy and Numeracy.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements, however, all applicants will be interviewed by the course tutor via telephone. It is expected that students who enrol on this course will be working at entry level 3.

Content

You will study various units to improve your employability skills, designed to build confidence for the workplace as well as supporting your personal development.

Assessment

There is no examination. You will build a portfolio of work throughout the course which will be assessed internally and externally.

Progression

Upon completion of this course, you could then carry on to work towards the certificate, and following that, the diploma. Successful completion of this course could also help gain voluntary employment or assist with further studies.
