This qualification is suitable as an introduction to working in health and social care and will enable you to understand more about what is involved. You will be introduced to some basic concepts of caring and will prepare you for employment in the sector.

Covering the essential areas of communication, equality, diversity and inclusion and personal development, it also provides knowledge of the role of the social care worker, handling information, health and safety, safeguarding, duty of care and person-centred approaches.

It is a must have for anyone taking the adult Intermediate Health and Social Care apprenticeship.

Content

This qualification provides an ideal taster for those who may be new to the sector or new to the world of work. Assessment

To achieve this qualification, you must achieve a total of 20 credits from 9 mandatory units.
This qualification does not qualify you to work but does complement a fuller programme of learning.
