Why study at Macclesfield College?

Choosing to study with us here at Macclesfield College is the best decision you could make. We offer a range of nationally recognised higher (Degree-level) courses and qualifications across a variety of subject areas. Take a look and discover which qualification is the right one for you!

Access to Higher Education

If you want to study a degree-level course at university or College but don’t have the qualifications to get you there, then an Access to Higher Education programme is for you. Designed to help you build your skills and confidence, these 1 year courses are delivered over 3 days per week and on successful completion can lead to a wide range of degree level courses.

Higher Nationals (HNC/HND)

BTEC Higher National Certificates (HNC) and Higher National Diplomas (HND) provide specialist vocational training, combining both practical and theoretical elements sought by employers. These qualifications are ideal if you want to balance studying with working and are looking to enhance your career. Plus, when you have successfully completed your course, you can ‘top up’ to a full honours degree at university. They are normally delivered 1 to 2 days per week.
