Apprenticeships are the focus of a special week of activities at Macclesfield College of Further and Higher as it takes part in National Apprenticeship Week, 14th – 18th March 2016.

All week, the College’s specialist team, Maxim Business Training, will be hosting a lunchtime promotional stand in the College’s rotunda to promote apprenticeships and all the fantastic opportunities available with local employers. Students and members of the public are welcome to come along and chat to the team for advice and take part in apprenticeship-themed competitions and giveaways.

Maxim Business Training has also teamed up with local radio station Cheshire’s Silk 106.9 for a week of on-air features and interviews with apprentices at the College, each morning on the Breakfast Show between 9am-10am.

The activities are part of the ninth annual National Apprenticeship Week which takes place from 14-18 March, with hundreds of events expected to take place across England. The Week, which is co-ordinated by the National Apprenticeship Service, is designed to celebrate apprenticeships and the positive impact they have on individuals, businesses and the economy.

Jane Jones, Work Based Learning Coordinator for Maxim Business Training commented, “Our apprenticeships offer relevant, focused and structured training that fits perfectly with the needs of employers and individuals. Anyone wanting to find out more about apprenticeships can come along to our week-long lunchtime drop-in sessions or phone 01625 410022 to speak to one of our team of experts.”
