Golf Academy Tees off at The Tytherington Club

The Macclesfield College Golf Academy is delighted to announce a partnership with The Tytherington Club. The course will be the home club for the Academy’s professional learners, alongside the Beeches driving range, which will be used for coaching.

Launched for this academic year, the Academy offers a Level 3 course which combines a mix of practical golf coaching and a foundation in a wide range of skills to prepare learners for further study at University or progression into a career in sport.

PGA Golf Professional Ben Stanier, Head Coach at the Academy explains: “Our learners will benefit from playing all the courses in the region but having a home course where they can hone the technical skills developed at the driving range or on the green will be invaluable.”

Rachel Kay, Principal and Chief Executive of Macclesfield College said: “We are delighted to be partnering with The Tytherington Club which offers our learners an 18-hole championship course with over 100 bunkers and eight water features set, within the rolling Cheshire landscape.”

“The response to the new Academy has been really strong and we’re excited the welcome our first cohort of learners in September and look forward to developing their golf skills and preparing them for a career in the professional sports industry.”
