UAL Fashion student Lauren Russell, also said, “It was amazing to see the outfits that we all worked so hard on all year come to life on the catwalk in the way we imagined and being able to style them ourselves so others could see our vision. The show was fantastic.”
Year one fashion students have all successfully completed their first year and will progress into the second year of the course in September. Year two students have all received offers for their University choices and shall progress onto BA (Hons) Fashion and BA (Hons) Fashion Styling and Image making.
Course leader for fashion Angela Devoti commented, “The fashion students have once again produced a superb end of year show; myself and fashion lecturer, Eleanor White would like to send a massive congratulations to all our students for all their hard work, determination and creativity.
“Both year groups have accomplished so much this year, not only have they produced such an incredible end of year show, students have taken part in industry week live projects with local print company, Think Positive Prints and our fantastic Art and Design exhibition fund raiser event for the charity Incubation Arts, Sound Track, launched at Charles Roe House in February. Alongside this, students have been working very hard on their assignment briefs and developing their individual portfolios.
“I have been incredibly proud of all the wonderful feedback received from our industry links and from University lecturers who have interviewed and offered places to our second year group. Our students deserve every success in the future they really do. They have all fully embraced the course and have produced work which is personal and communicates their emerging handwriting as creatives.
“The team would also like to thank Julie Hamer Director of Incubation Arts for allowing us to use Charles Roe House once again to present our end of year catwalk show. Macclesfield College fully supports Incubation Arts and we look forward to more collaboration in the future.”
Julie Hamer Director of Incubation Arts added, “It was another fabulous end of year fashion show at Charles Roe House which was enjoyed by all. The designs were stunning and each student’s work was individual and a huge credit to the fashion tutors. Incubation Arts looks forward to continued collaborations with Macclesfield College’s Art & Design department, in which we can promote the creative talent of their students in the community.”
