PTHP Animal Care Technician

Hours: 2 hours per day on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays
Salary: £9.08 per hour

The Role:

Do you have a love for Animals and live in the Macclesfield area?

If the answer is yes then Macclesfield College is the perfect place for you to come and spend some time in our Animal department as a PTHP Animal Care Technician.

The post will involve attending the college both morning and evening on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays for a total of 2 hours per day to feed and care for our onsite animals, which include:

• Rabbits
• Guinea pigs
• Degu
• Rats
• Snakes
• Giant african snails
• Cockroaches
• Fish
• Chickens

Duties include:

  • Welfare checks of the animals both morning and evening
  • Feeding of the animals
  • Cleaning out of animal pens and cages
  • Locking & securing of college property

Full training, induction and support will be provided.

Applicants must possess a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Animal Care

Applicants should be aged 18+ due to being responsible for opening, closing and securing the college.
