The Role:

Macclesfield College is seeking an aspirational and innovative Lecturer in Business. The post holder will be involved in the marketing, planning, delivery, assessment and internal verification of Business programmes, ranging from level 2 – level 5. This will involve supporting College learners in achieving their academic goals and career progression by delivering high quality lessons, and ensuring high student attendance and satisfaction.

The post-holder must possess a degree in Business or equivalent and a Teaching Qualification to current national industry standards.  The post holder must also have as a minimum level 2 in English and Maths.  A recognised qualification in IT is desirable.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • To plan high quality teaching, learning and assessment for college programmes, using creative learning strategies that will inspire and engage students to reach their full potential.
  • To deliver teaching and learning at a consistently good or outstanding standard to achieve high success rates.
  • To assess accurately learners work both formatively and summatively against appropriate awarding body criteria to ensure learners achieve their qualifications.
