Level 2 Accounts or Finance Assistant

An Accounts or Finance Assistant works within the finance sector across a range of organisations, helping to maintain an efficient and accurate financial function.

While completing a Level 2 Accounts or Finance Assistant Apprenticeship, you will build the skills needed to carry out a wide range of financial tasks. This includes understanding an organisation’s activities and how they impact accounting and finance functions. You will learn how to identify, collect and process financial data from business records, as well as examine accounting information to identify any issues or discrepancies.

Level 3 Assistant Accountant

An Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship equips learners with the skills and knowledge needed to carry out routine financial tasks and provide essential support to businesses and organisations of all sizes.

During this apprenticeship, you will build a strong understanding of the principles of financial accounting, including adjustments and reporting. You will learn how to prepare financial reports and support budgeting activities. You will also develop the skills to use accounting and digital systems effectively and securely, while contributing to the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial records.

Level 4 Professional Accounting Technician

If you are considering a career as an accountant or bookkeeper, a Level 4 Professional Accounting Technician Apprenticeship could be the ideal next step.

Whilst completing this apprenticeship, you will build the knowledge and practical skills needed to carry out a wide range of financial tasks. This includes preparing and maintaining accurate financial reports, identifying key accounting risks and supporting the implementation of strategies to manage and mitigate them. You will also gain experience using financial, digital and technology systems, as well as applying the principles of bookkeeping and accounting standards to produce and report financial information.

Level 3 Payroll Administrator

Looking to start a career in finance? A Level 3 Payroll Administrator Apprenticeship could be the perfect fit for you. This apprenticeship equips you with the essential skills and knowledge needed to set up and manage payroll systems, either within your own organisation or on behalf of others.

Throughout this apprenticeship, you will develop the skills needed to accurately create and process payroll data using payroll software and IT systems. You will learn how to gather and manage payroll related information, including employee and payment details. 

Level 5 Payroll Assistant Manager

A Payroll Assistant Manager plays a key role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time, in line with contractual agreements and UK regulatory requirements.

During a Level 5 Payroll Assistant Manager Apprenticeship, you will develop advanced knowledge and skills to manage payroll operations. You will also gain experience in analysing and reconciling payroll outputs, managing complexities within payroll systems and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

A full-time job – all Apprentices are employed by a company where they will gain hands-on experience and expertise

Qualification – the apprentice will also study for a qualification at the same time as working. They may come into College once a week or they may study completely in the workplace.

Salary – An apprentice earns a salary.  Like any type of job role, the amount of money earned will depend on the employer.

Apprenticeships can be delivered through a variety of methods including a blend of one-to-one support, online training, College workshops and self-directed study. We will work with you and your employer to develop an individualised learning plan that works for you.

The length of your apprenticeship will depend on the job that you are doing, the standard that you are working towards and how much previous experience you have.

To be recognised as an apprentice you must be employed for a minimum of 30 hours per-week.
