Macclesfield College is delighted to announce the appointment of three outstanding individuals to its Corporation Board: Manny Botwe, Richard Milkins and David Rutley. Their extensive expertise and diverse experience will be invaluable as we continue to enhance opportunities for our students and community.
Manny Botwe brings a wealth of educational leadership experience, having served as Deputy Headteacher at an Outstanding School in South Oxfordshire before relocating to the North. A graduate of Corpus Christi College, Oxford, with a First Class degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics, Manny is also the President of the Association of School and College Leaders (ASCL).
Richard Milkins has spent over a decade at Cheshire East Council, leading initiatives that have transformed the region’s tourism and hospitality sectors. His work on the Tourism & Hospitality Vacancy Project has driven local employment growth and strengthened partnerships, enhancing Cheshire’s status as a prime visitor destination.
David Rutley, former MP for Macclesfield (2010–2024) and UK Government Minister, offers extensive experience in politics and business. With senior roles at organisations including Barclays, Halifax, Asda and PepsiCo International, David’s leadership and strategic expertise will be a significant asset to the college.
