Level 2 Early Years Practitioner

An Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship is perfect for anyone looking to start a rewarding career working with children from birth to five years old. You’ll gain practical experience in settings such as nurseries, pre schools and children’s centres.

During the appren,ticeship you’ll be supporting children’s learning, development and wellbeing through a range of activities. You’ll also learn how to observe children’s progress, meet their individual needs, and work closely with parents and professionals to provide a safe, caring and engaging environment.

Level 3 Early Years Educator

An Early Years Educator Apprenticeship prepares individuals to become highly skilled professionals and be responsible for supporting the learning, development and safety of children from birth to age five.

During this apprenticeship, you will develop the skills needed to support children’s learning and development. You will learn how to build secure and positive relationships with children and their families, while providing high quality, respectful and responsive care that supports both physical and emotional wellbeing.

Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner

An Early Years Lead Practitioner Apprenticeship prepares individuals to become proactive and influential practitioners, working directly with children in a variety of settings, including nurseries, schools, hospitals and social care environments.

Throughout the apprenticeship, you will develop advanced knowledge and practical skills while working closely with children and leading day‑to‑day practice. You will also learn how to participate in and lead daily routines and practice, including children’s personal care, play and maintaining the physical environment.

Level 3 Teaching Assistant

A Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship is ideal for those who are passionate about education and want to support teachers and learners in the classroom.

Whilst completing this apprenticeship, you will gain valuable practical experience by supporting lesson preparation, assisting with student assessment and contributing to a range of educational activities. You will also develop the knowledge needed to understand how different learning resources support learners and how to use them effectively. In addition, you will learn how technology can enhance learning, as well as gain an understanding of safeguarding, procedures, and health and safety.

Level 3 Learning and Skills Assessor

A Learning and Skills Assessor plays a key role in assessing learners against agreed standards of competence using a range of assessment methods. This involves planning and carrying out assessment activities, as well as recording and reporting assessment decisions to both learners and relevant stakeholders.

During this apprenticeship, you will develop an understanding of how Learning and Skills Assessors work collaboratively with learners, quality assurance practitioners and teaching staff. You will also gain the knowledge and practical skills required to plan and carry out inclusive assessments using a range of assessment methods.

Level 5 Learning and Skills Teacher

A Level 5 Learning and Skills Teacher Apprenticeship is ideal for those looking to build a career in education, teaching both young people and adults across a range of settings within the education.

During this apprenticeship, you will develop the skills and knowledge needed to inspire a passion for learning, support student engagement and create inclusive learning environments that meet the needs of all learners. You will also focus on promoting positive outcomes for students, helping them recognise the value of their learning, and supporting their progression through tailored information, advice and guidance.

Level 5 Specialist Teaching Assistant

The main role of a specialist teaching assistant is to support provision related to special educational needs and disability (SEND), the social and emotional well being, of learners or within another area of specialist curriculum provision. They often work alongside colleagues to inspire learners to progress and achieve well.

During this apprenticeship, you will develop the knowledge and skills needed to effectively support learners and work collaboratively with teaching staff in a supervisory capacity. You will learn how to provide tailored support, promote inclusion and help create a positive and engaging learning environment that meets the individual needs of all students.

A full-time job – all Apprentices are employed by a company where they will gain hands-on experience and expertise

Qualification – the apprentice will also study for a qualification at the same time as working. They may come into College once a week or they may study completely in the workplace.

Salary – An apprentice earns a salary.  Like any type of job role, the amount of money earned will depend on the employer.

Apprenticeships can be delivered through a variety of methods including a blend of one-to-one support, online training, College workshops and self-directed study. We will work with you and your employer to develop an individualised learning plan that works for you.

There are a wide range of apprenticeships for you to choose from starting at level 2 all the way up to level 6.

The length of your apprenticeship will depend on the job that you are doing, the standard that you are working towards and how much previous experience you have.

To be recognised as an apprentice you must be employed for a minimum of 30 hours per-week.
