During a Level 2 Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship, you will develop the knowledge and practical skills needed to provide high quality care. You will learn about relevant statutory standards and codes of practice, as well as how to recognise and respond to individuals’ physical, emotional and social needs. You will also gain an understanding of duty of care in practice and learn how to contribute to the development and delivery of person centred care plans, ensuring support is tailored to each individual’s preferences.

During the Level 2 Healthcare Science Assistant Apprenticeship, you will develop the essential skills needed to support a range of activities. You will learn how to carry out routine technical and scientific procedures, prepare equipment and environments for healthcare science tasks, and support the delivery of clinical care while maintaining patient confidentiality. A Domestic and Sexual Abuse Support Worker plays a crucial role in supporting individuals who have experienced, are at risk of or are recovering from domestic abuse and/or sexual violence.
During the Level 4 Domestic and Sexual Abuse Support Worker Apprenticeship, you will develop the specialist knowledge and skills needed to provide effective advocacy and support across a range of settings. You will learn how to respond to and manage crisis situations, carry out risk assessments, and develop safety plans in partnership with survivors. You will also build the skills to use a variety of communication methods, adapting your approach to meet the individual needs and achieve positive outcomes for those you support.
Community Health and Wellbeing Workers play an important role in supporting individuals and communities to improve their health and quality of life.
During a Level 3 Community Health and Wellbeing Worker Apprenticeship, you will build the skills needed to support individuals and communities through preventative approaches to health and wellbeing. You will learn how to strengthen community resilience, promote access to support services, manage referrals, and contribute to evaluating projects and outcomes. You will also develop your understanding of relevant legislation, local policies and protocols.
Level 3 Safeguarding Support Officers play a key role in supporting designated safeguarding leads to help ensure that vulnerable individuals are protected and supported effectively within their organisation.
During this apprenticeship, you will develop a strong understanding of safeguarding legislation, guidance and policies and how to apply this knowledge within your organisation. You will learn how to prioritise safeguarding concerns and report allegations appropriately, ensuring individuals are protected. You will also build the skills needed to identify and respond effectively to safeguarding concerns within your role and responsibilities.
Healthcare Science Associates work across a range of healthcare settings, including hospitals and primary care, where they carry out routine technical and scientific procedures to support patient care.
As you progress through a Level 4 Healthcare Science Associate Apprenticeship, you will develop the skills needed to support the delivery of clinical care and provide technical scientific services. You will also build strong problem solving skills, enabling you to identify and address issues effectively, while working to professional standards. In addition, you will gain a solid understanding of key areas such as equipment management, relevant legislation, standard operating procedures and codes of conduct.
Peer Workers are employed across a range of services such as the NHS, health, justice, housing and specialist providers.
While completing a Level 3 Peer Worker Apprenticeship, you will build the skills and knowledge needed to create safe, supportive and respectful relationships with individuals, carers and families. You will learn how to identify needs, facilitate access to appropriate services, and signpost individuals to relevant resources, enabling them to make informed decisions. You will also play a key role in representing and promoting peer support, contributing to service development and supporting positive outcomes for individuals and communities.
A full-time job – all Apprentices are employed by a company where they will gain hands-on experience and expertise
Qualification – the apprentice will also study for a qualification at the same time as working. They may come into College once a week or they may study completely in the workplace.
Salary – An apprentice earns a salary. Like any type of job role, the amount of money earned will depend on the employer.

To be recognised as an apprentice you must be employed for a minimum of 30 hours per-week.
