MACCLESFIELD COLLEGE APPRENTICESHIP AWARDS 2023!
Thursday 9th February saw Macclesfield College host their annual Awards evening.

Thursday 9th February saw Macclesfield College host their annual Awards evening.

The evening, hosted by Director of Employer Enterprise & Commercial Services, Tracy Cosgrave, celebrated the Apprentice’s outstanding achievements, hard work, and commitment to their qualification and workplace.

More than 70 selected guests attended, including key partner employers of the College, Assessors, and members of the College’s Senior Management team.

Twenty-Five ‘Apprentice of The Year’ Awards were presented to students from a wide variety of Sector areas from Project Management, Electrical, and Construction to Digital Marketing and Childcare to name a few.

An additional award was also presented on the evening, ‘The Macclesfield College Employee Award’ developed to recognise one of the Colleges’ very own apprentices; Lucas Hallows, for the outstanding work he has done within the Estates Team at the College.

The Star of the evening, however, was Amber Birch who was awarded the title of ‘Macclesfield College Overall Apprentice of the Year’. Amber won this award due to her working extremely hard this year to complete her qualification. She is expected to finish before her end date and has shown nothing but hard work and determination. When observed in the setting her activities are well-planned, and well thought out and she reflects well on how she can improve. Amber is only 18 and has already been promoted to the room leader for the 2-year-olds in her setting. Amber is a pleasure to have on the course and is predicted to go on to achieve big things in the future.

Tracy Cosgrave, Director of Employer Enterprise & Commercial Services said: ‘Our Awards evening was once again a wonderful night, where we got to recognise the incredible accomplishments of our apprentices.  It was a pleasure to celebrate the achievement of  apprentices from a wide range of sectors, who have all performed amazingly to achieve their qualifications, whilst having such a positive impact on their place of work.’

Amber Birch won the Overall Apprentice of the Year 2023, awarded by Tracy Cosgrave, Director of Employer Enterprise & Commercial Services.
