Students, families, friends and staff came together on Thursday 25 June to celebrate achievement, dedication and success at Macclesfield College’s annual Student Awards Evening, held at The Tytherington Club.
The evening was opened by Deputy Principal Sue Martin, who paid tribute to the staff across the College whose dedication, guidance and support have helped students achieve their goals throughout the year.
Hosted by Centre Principal Charlotte Bennett, the evening recognised students from across the College for their outstanding commitment, progress and achievements throughout the academic year. Awards were presented across a wide range of curriculum areas, alongside special awards recognising Adult Student of the Year, Student Ambassador of the Year and the Overall Student of the Year.
The event celebrated not only academic success, but also the determination, resilience and personal growth demonstrated by students throughout their educational journey.
Overall Student of the Year was awarded to Jayden Winters, who also received the Electrical Student of the Year award, recognising an exceptional year of achievement and commitment.
Sue Martin, Deputy Principal at Macclesfield College, said:
