Macclesfield College welcomed prospective students and their families to its final Open Event of the academic year on Saturday 13 June, with visitors exploring the campus, meeting staff and students, and discovering the wide range of opportunities available for September.
The event gave attendees the chance to experience the College’s facilities, learn more about courses, apprenticeships and T Levels and get a feel for the supportive community that makes Macclesfield College such a popular choice for students.
The successful event comes as applications continue to grow, with the College receiving more applications than at the same point last year. The increase reflects the strong reputation Macclesfield College has built for helping students achieve their goals and progress into employment, apprenticeships, higher education and skilled careers.
Helen Fazackerley, Director of Corporate Services at Macclesfield College, said:
“It was fantastic to see so many future students and their families at our final Open Event of the year. It’s not too late to join us for September. As the number one college in Cheshire for Education and Training for 16–19 year olds, we’re proud to combine high quality education with a supportive community where students can develop the skills, confidence and ambition to succeed.”
Applications remain open for courses starting this September and can be completed online via the Macclesfield College website.
Enrolment for September 2026 begins on GCSE Results Day, Thursday 20 August, from 10am. College staff will be on hand throughout the enrolment period to support students with their course choices and help them take the next step towards their future.
