Macclesfield College is excited to announce the launch of Macc Community Collective, a volunteer programme which invites individuals to join and make a difference in the lives of students.
The programme aims to connect volunteers with opportunities to support the college community, offering a chance to impart invaluable knowledge and skills to the next generation. Whether you’re a butcher, baker, candlestick maker or simply someone passionate about giving back, there’s a place for you in the Macc Community Collective.
Volunteers are encouraged to engage with students during lunch breaks, act as welcome hosts, assist with gardening, share their expertise in classrooms, or lead enrichment activities in areas such as chess, sign language, arts, sports, and technology.
“The biggest thing you can give is your time,” says Marie Sheehan-Slade, Director of HR & Culture at the college. “By being present, you can help shape and engage the future of our talented students.”
Individuals interested in becoming part of the Macc Community Collective are invited to reach out for an informal chat about their skills and how they can contribute. Contact Marie Sheehan-Slade by calling 01625 410007 or via email at Marie.sheehan-slade@macclesfield.ac.uk.
