Macclesfield College is thrilled to announce the astounding success of their recent open event, which saw record numbers of attendees and a remarkable surge in applications on the night. With an impressive 50% increase in registered attendees compared to last year’s October event, the College welcomed aspiring students from over 30 local schools located in Cheshire East, Stockport and Derbyshire.
Attendees had the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of learning at Macclesfield College. Our guests delved into a range of activities, including mastering the art of bricklaying in construction, tasting eclairs, prepared by our talented chefs at the Whites Chef Academy and witnessing a live demonstration by our health and social care students. The latter showcased what to do in the event of a cardiac arrest, emphasising our commitment to equipping our students with practical, life-saving knowledge.
In addition, the College launched their new A Level programme which proved incredibly popular, attracting a surge of students and parents eager to explore the exciting educational opportunities now available. There are 4 different A Level pathways which are now open for applications. These include Social Sciences, Business, Sport and Creative.
For those who may have missed this fabulous event, we are excited to announce that we will be doing it all over again on Saturday November 18th, from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm. This is another chance to discover the endless possibilities Macclesfield College has to offer.
