90% of apprentices continue in employment after finishing their apprenticeship, with over a quarter of former apprentices receiving a promotion within 12 months of completing. Plus, those who complete an intermediate apprenticeship earn on average between £48,000 and £74,000 more over their lifetime than similar individuals with an equivalent qualification.

A full-time job - all Apprentices are employed by a company where they will gain hands-on experience and expertise
Qualification – the apprentice will also study for a qualification at the same time as working. They may come into College once a week or they may study completely in the workplace.
Salary – An apprentice earns a salary. Like any type of job role, the amount of money earned will depend on the employer.

Like any type of job role, the amount of money you earn will depend on your employer. The minimum an employer must pay their apprentice is £6.40 per hour, however some employers are willing to pay considerably more for the right person.
The length of an apprenticeship depends on the job you’re doing, your age and how much experience you have.
Apprenticeships can be delivered through a variety of methods including a blend of one-to-one support, online training, College workshops and self-directed study. We will work with you and your employer to develop an individualised learning plan that works for you.

To be recognised as an apprentice you must be employed for a minimum of 30 hours per-week.
