You may choose to start building your career as a sole trader, giving you the opportunity to launch your own business in Carpentry and Joinery. Whether you aim to work for a company or establish your own enterprise, the skills you acquire will set you up for success in this dynamic field.

Level 1

Minimum GCSE Entry Requirements:
Grade 2 in maths & English

Progression
Upon completing this level, you can advance to a Level 2 Diploma or start an apprenticeship.

Level 2

Minimum GCSE Entry Requirements:
4 x grade 3s,
Level 1 in occupational trade qualification or equivalent

Progression:
Upon completing this level, you can start an apprenticeship.

Apprenticeship

Progress onto an apprenticeship such as:
Craft Carpentry and Joinery
Senior Construction Technician
Furniture Restorer
Bespoke Furniture Maker
Progression:
Upon completing, you can advance to University or a Higher Level Apprenticeship.

Higher Education

Complete further education in site management or health and safety.


Self Employment:
