What you will study

Joining our Computing courses means engaging in an industry focused curriculum to gain essential digital skills. You’ll cover technology systems, mobile app development, website development and digital animation, building a strong foundation in programming.

Career

Progression

After completing one of our Computing courses, you’ll find plenty of exciting paths to choose from. You can progress into higher education in computer science or information technology, explore apprenticeships in software development or cybersecurity or dive straight into professional roles in the tech industry.

This opens up a world of opportunities in areas like software engineering, data analysis, cybersecurity or web development, allowing you to play a key role in the digital world.

Level 1

Minimum GCSE Entry Requirements:
Mostly grades 3-1

Progression:
Upon completing this level, you can advance to a Level 2 Diploma or start an apprenticeship.

Level 2

Minimum GCSE Entry Requirements:
4 x grade 3s

Progression:
Upon completing this level, you can advance to a Level 3 Diploma, T Level or start an apprenticeship.

Level 3/ T Level

Minimum entry requirements:
5 x grade 4-9s including maths or English (Both for T Level)

Progression:
Upon completing, you can advance to University or a Higher Level Apprenticeship.

Higher Education

Progress onto a higher education programme with college or attend university to study courses such as:
Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence Computing and IT (various pathways)

During your Computing course, you will have the chance to participate in a variety of exciting educational and industrial visits. Potential destinations include the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI), Old Trafford Football Ground, the Bradford Media Museum, local businesses, UCAS events and more!
