Joining our Construction Skills courses at the College offers training in essential areas such as bricklaying, joinery, wall tiling, painting & decorating, carpentry, plastering and plumbing. You’ll develop a strong foundation in these various trades.

In addition to technical skills, our courses emphasise critical health and safety training. This includes learning safe work practices, adhering to regulatory standards, using personal protective equipment (PPE), assessing and managing risks and fostering a safety focused culture on site.

Progression
After completing one of our Construction Skills courses, you’ll have a clear idea of which area you’d like to specialise in and can progress into a higher qualification within that field. You can pursue further qualifications in areas such as bricklaying, joinery, carpentry or plumbing, or explore apprenticeships to gain more practical experience.
This opens up a world of opportunities in the Construction Industry, allowing you to specialise in trades such as masonry, woodworking, tiling or site management and play a key role in building and shaping our physical world.
