What you will study

Joining one of our Electrical courses at the College means engaging in a industry focused curriculum designed to equip you with essential electrical skills. In our newly developed workshop, you’ll explore foundational topics such as electrical systems, wiring regulations, circuit design, installation techniques, health and safety, electrical components, testing and inspection, electrical theory, fault finding and electrical codes.

Progression

After completing an Electrical course, you’ll have a clear understanding of your career path and can progress into higher qualifications within the field. You can pursue further qualifications in areas such as electrical installation, maintenance or systems design or explore apprenticeships to gain valuable hands on experience.

This opens up a world of opportunities in the electrical industry, allowing you to take on roles such as electrician, electrical technician, or systems designer and play a key role in powering and enhancing our modern environment.

Level 1

Minimum GCSE Entry Requirements:
English & maths at least grade 3 plus 2 other grades at 4-9s

Progression:
Upon completing this level, you can advance to a Level 2 Diploma or start an apprenticeship.

Level 2

Minimum GCSE Entry Requirements:
4 x  grade 4-9s including maths & English

Progression:
Upon completing this level, you can advance to a T Level or start an apprenticeship.

T Level

Minimum entry requirements:
5X grade 4-9s including English and maths
Level 2 electrical

Progression:
Upon completing, you can advance to University or a Higher Level Apprenticeship.

Higher Education

Progress onto a higher education programme with college or attend university to study courses.
