Macclesfield College is proud to announce that Grace Longden, a T Level Health student, won the prestigious Gold Award in the Health and Social Care category at the WorldSkills UK Finals on Friday, November 22nd, at Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall.
Grace’s exceptional performance stood out among the country’s top apprentices and students, earning her the top accolade in her field. Fran Cookson, Health and Social Care Programme Lead at Macclesfield College, shared her pride:

WorldSkills UK is committed to raising standards in apprenticeships and technical education by showcasing the best apprentices and students across a variety of industries. The national finals bring together young talent, employers and industry experts, offering an opportunity to celebrate excellence in vocational education.
In addition to Grace’s success, Macclesfield College’s Media students also reached the WorldSkills UK Finals, which is an incredible achievement in itself. Being selected as finalists is a fantastic accomplishment, showcasing their hard work, dedication and skills.
Grace’s Gold Award and the Media Team’s outstanding participation demonstrate the high standard of education at Macclesfield College and the exceptional skills being developed in students across its vocational programmess.
