What you will study

Our Plumbing courses cover installation, repair and maintenance of plumbing systems, including drainage, pipework with various materials and plumbing science. You'll learn about the construction industry, safe working practices and sustainability in domestic dwellings, along with site preparation.

Career

Progression

Upon completing one of our Plumbing courses, you’ll develop a solid understanding of your career options and can move on to higher qualifications in the field. You may choose to specialise further in areas such as advanced plumbing systems, gas engineering or renewable energy technologies or you can seek apprenticeships for practical experience.

Whether you aim to work for established companies or become an independent contractor, our courses provide the essential skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the plumbing industry.

Level 1

Minimum GCSE Entry Requirements:
English & maths at least grade 3 plus 2 other grades at 4-9s

Progression:
Upon completing this level, you can advance to a Level 2 Diploma or start an apprenticeship.

Level 2

Minimum GCSE Entry Requirements:
4 x grade 4-9s including maths & English

Progression:
Upon completing this level, you can advance to a T Level or start an apprenticeship.

T Level

Minimum GCSE Entry Requirements:
5 x grade 4-9s including maths & English
Level 2 Plumbing
Progression:
Upon completing, you can advance to University or a Higher Level Apprenticeship.

Higher Education

Complete further education in specialist areas

Self Employed
Become self-employed and set up your own business.
