What will I study?

During this course you will explore a full range of units including, but not limited to: Structure of the construction industry
  • Fundamental safe working practices
  • Environmental and sustainability measures in domestic dwellings
  • Site preparation for working in the construction industry
  • Electrical installation wiring and terminations
  • Fabrication techniques for electrical installation
  • Electrical science and technology

What career or further study opportunities will be available after completion?

On successful achievement of this course you may wish to:
  • Level 2 Technical Diploma in Electrical Installation (maths and English GCSEs 4 or above must be achieved
  • Apply for an Apprenticeship in the construction industry.

What are the entry requirements for this course & what qualifications will I gain upon completion?

For this course you will need to have achieved the following: GCSEs in English and maths grade 3 or above, plus two other GCSEs 4 or above. Alongside your main programme of study you will also study either GCSE or Functional Skills in English and maths if you have not achieved a GCSE grade 4 or above. Level 1 Diploma in Electrical Installation
