During this course you will explore a full range of units including, but not limited to:
Installation, repair and maintenance of plumbing systems, above ground drainage, pipework (copper, plastic, low carbon steel) and plumbing science.
You will also study core units that include
Structure of the construction industry
Fundamental safe working practices
Environmental and sustainability measures in domestic dwellings
Site preparation in the construction industry.
Alongside your main programme of study you will also study either GCSE or Functional Skills in English and maths if you have not achieved a GCSE grade 4 or above.
What career or further study opportunities will be available after completion?
On successful achievement of this course you may wish to:
Level 2 Technical Diploma in Plumbing Installation (Maths and English GCSEs 4 or above must be achieved)
Apply for an Apprenticeship in the construction industry.
What are the entry requirements for this course & what qualifications will I gain upon completion?
For this course, you will need to have achieved 4 GCSEs at grade 2 or above including a grade 3 in English and maths
On successful completion of this course you will gain a City & Guilds Level 1 Diploma in Plumbing qualification.
