This testing and inspection training course is for experienced electricians who are responsible for periodic inspection and certification of electrical installations.

This course is for practising electricians who are experienced in inspection and testing - understanding the operation of own test instruments is advised.
A BS7671 Wiring Regulations course and/or a refresher course prior to attendance would be beneficial.
Learners must hold a Level 3 qualification in Electrotechnical, such as City & Guilds 5357 Level 3, 2365 Level 3 or 8202 Level 3.
Proof of qualification is required for enrolment.

The course focuses on the specific methods required for inspecting and testing all types of electrical installations, both single and three-phase in accordance with the current BS 7671 requirements.
It encompasses the inspection and testing techniques as outlined in IET Guidance Note 3, along with how to professionally complete Certification and Reports.

• Continuity of protective conductors
• Continuity of ring final circuit conductors
• Insulation resistanceearth electrode resistance
• Polarity and phase sequencing
• Earth fault loop impedance
• Prospective fault current
• Earth fault loop impedance
• RCD testing
