Upon successful completion of the course, the learner will:
• Understand basic health and safety risks associated with the workshop and hand tools,
• Be able to read basic engineering drawings,
• Safety use a range of hand tools,
• Basic marking out techniques,
• Use of appropriate measuring equipment,
• Safely and accurately produce a range of engineering components using an appropriate range of hand tools and bench fitting techniques.
