Upon successful completion of the course, the learner will:
• Understand basic health and safety risks associated with the workshop and manual milling machines,
• Be able to read basic engineering drawings,
• Safety use a manual milling machine,
• Use of different work holding and fixturing devices,
• Different mill tools and their uses,
• How to set up the milling machine and tooling,
• Use of appropriate measuring equipment,
• Safely and accurately produce a range of engineering components using a manual milling machine.
