The workshop will enable you to make, decorate and glaze pottery items.

On this course you will learn a variety of ceramics techniques. Ranging from slab building and coiling all the way to nerikomi and wheel throwing. You will make pieces using a range of different clays, decorate using underglazes and oxides, then finally go on to glazing.
The classes will follow the lesson plan below:

8 Slipcasting & Glazing
9 & 10 Personal Exploration
If you come to the classes with an idea already in mind, this can also be done, as this course allows you to create whatever you like, even if it doesn't match the planned guided session of the week.

There will be an element of design in each workshop, where the tutor will guide you to make pieces you did not know you were capable of making.
Each termly workshop will explore a different technique or surface decoration alongside creating a variety of pottery using different methods.
Art materials will be provided but there will be an additional charge for clay, glaze and firing.
Students can join the course at any of the three terms and continue their learning and practice.
All Levels evening Workshop – This workshop is open to all levels from beginners to advanced.
