Pathways is a personalised programme to support young people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities to progress onto their next steps.
This course is suitable for learners aged 16 – 18 or 19+. No previous formal qualifications are required for entry to these qualifications.
We will plan your programme with you to develop the skills you will need for future study, work and independence. You will learn and practise these skills in a range of projects. Then, as you become more confident, you might also complete work placements. As part of your course you will study life skills, social skills, enterprise, art for mindfulness, sport, horticulture, maths, English and employability.
Assignment based and portfolio.
During the year, we will work with you to help you plan what to do next.
You might return for another year on Pathways, or maybe move on to another programme in the College.
Or you might be ready to leave College and use your new skills in your community or at work. This may involve volunteering or securing a supported internship.
Additional help and support is available to you should you require it and you can discuss this further at your admissions interview.
To apply you will need to book in for a tour. After your tour you will be asked to complete an application. It is important to note that we cannot confirm a place at the College until our Specialist Provision Lead has received the EHCP and can confirm we can meet need.
